I confess to being a Science Fiction and Fantasy geek. I've enjoyed the classic works of Issac Asimov, James P. Blaylock, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Harlan Ellison, Rafael Sabatini, Clifford D. Simak, Moacyr Scliar, H.G. Wells, Tim Powers, and Jules Verne, to name just a few.
History too has influenced my writing. A good writer is also a good historian (research is good, provided one does not foist "infodumps" upon the reader). History is truly the writer's playground, and the fabulist can explore alternate histories, universes, and ultimately, an alternate past, present or future.
"What if"?" is the ultimate question and there is joy to be found along the journey for an answer. What if, dear reader, centaurs were real? Not aliens nor genetic constructs, but real Earth people? Perhaps even an evolved race?
And what if...what if...humans were descended from centaurs?
But I'm giving to much away. Read on, if your interest is so piqued...
